Life
====05-21-04====
I attended Rockford Senior H.S. all four years. I played cornet in the Marching Band the first 3 yrs, and played in a trio at one Assembly that we had. I played the part of Editor Webb, in Senior play, "Our Town". I also D J'd a couple of dances in the gym (remember "Sock Hops"?). I graduated Western Michigan University 1969, Sociology Major and Electrical Engineering Minor, Bachelor of Science degree. I moved to Chicago in 1971 where my career in government began. I have worked as a counselor and caseworker since; mostly in the field of Employment. Just before retiring at the age of 56, I worked with the Division of Child Support. I have remained single, have no children that I know of (it has been a great journey and adventure--and would not have done it any differently). I have lived in my condo (th...Expand for more
ree blocks from Lake Michigan, on the near North side), for the past 30 years. I have one regret--that I only attended the 5 yr. class reunion, and never was able to check out any of the others, as I totally lost touch with everyone. I am enjoying my early retirement, busier than ever, and wondering how I ever had time to work every day. I support the arts, and have season subscriptions to the opera, theatres, symphony. I have done volunteer work, and assisted in teaching a couple of computer classes. I am looking forward to volunteering at a large church on Chicago's Magnificent Mile, helping maintain their computer systems and learning more about their busy computer lab. Since my late introduction to computers, in 1998, computers have become my passion. It may take me to a second career!
